This year there will again be a coach education course run by
The aim of the course will be to qualify fencers for the BAF Level 1 (formerly
the initial award) but will also cover the syllabus for Level 1 and Level 2 of
the latest British Fencing system. The minimum age to obtain a coaching
qualification is 16 but coaches under 18 have to work under direct supervision
of an adult coach whatever grade of qualification they obtain. The assessment
of the trainee coaches will be during the course.
Cost of the course will be £185. This will include all coaching fees & materials
& assessment expenses. Any coaching manuals and books are extras. Places will be strictly limited to allow
proper coach/pupil ratios for this very technical training. If you would like a place on this course,
