COACHING COURSE – 30 JULY – 3 AUGUST 2007, Bristol University

Fencing pupils

This year there will again be a coach education course run by Bristol University. The venue for the course will be Cotham School sports hall, Cotham Lawn Road, Bristol, BS6 6DT. Dates will be Monday 30^th July to Friday 3^rd August. Coach Educator will be Neil Brown (assisted by Peter Wright for 2 days). The course is intended for competent fencers who are interested in starting or furthering their coaching career. This is a full time course from Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm.

There will be about 6-10 coaches under training ranging from novices (as coaches) to international fencers. Part of their training involves giving class & individual lessons on a range of topics covering basic & not-so-basic moves of fencing.

This is an opportunity to get a day or an afternoon of quality training at very low cost. If you cannot make the times stated here you can arrive late or leave early, let us know as soon as possible

Timetable. We will need classes to teach 5 afternoons 1–4pm & competent fencers to take individual lessons every morning from Tuesday onwards. The cost will be £5 per day or half-day, cheques payable to “University of Bristol”.

This is an important course for the trainee coaches. In order for us to plan the sessions correctly we must know who will be available when. Please send your reply as soon as possible.
