4-5 July 09 – KES, Stratford-upon-Avon

Firstly congratulations on the results & commitment you have shown by being selected & agreeing to take part in this scheme. We hope this will be the part of the first steps on a long & successful fencing career for you all.

Make sure you have read the invitation document on the Cadet Potential page at www.fencingcoach.net & here.

The weekend will start at 10am on Saturday morning so fencers should arrive at 9:30 (the day will finish at 5:30). Sunday we’ll start at 9:30 (so arrive at 9) & finish at 4:30pm.For the Saturday you do not need your fencing kit, just running shoes & fencing shoes. For the Sunday you will need to bring all your fencing kit (there’s a combined training day with the fencers at KES). You will need to bring your own lunch or money to buy it each day.

Those who can only make the Sunday will also be able to do the fitness tests if necessary but we would like those who can only make one day to make every effort for it to be the Saturday.

The timetable for the 2 days will be available on arrival. Saturday will be testing & training. Sunday will be mainly fencing training.

This venue will be 4-5 July at: King Edward VI School, Church Street, Stratford-upon -Avon, CV37 6HB. http://www.kingedwardvi.warwickshire.sch.uk/ .

We (Neil & Phil), will do our best to provide a professional service to the squad fencers & to give clear instructions about what we expect. All fencers, coaches & parents will be able to contact us with specific questions or concerns about the scheme or with other questions.

Before each weekend you will need to fill in a pre-assessment form that can be downloaded here. Fill this in & bring it to Stratford.

Please make sure you have already completed the 1-line spreadsheet linked from the invite document & here
